Emilie Levienaise-Farrouch plays London show

French pianist-composer Emilie Levienaise-Farrouch will play a rare London show next month, ahead of the release of her second album for our 130701 imprint, which is scheduled for early July. Emilie will support fellow pianist, Ninja Tune's James Heather in the beautiful and intimate setting of St. Pancras Old Church on Wednesday 9th April. Tickets and further info can be found here.

New Emilie Levienaise-Farrouch piece to be premiered at BBC Proms

130701's Emilie Levienaise-Farrouch has been commissioned by the London Contemporary Orchestra to write a piece for a string ensemble. Described as being "approximately 8 minutes long, written for an ensemble consisting of 1 violin, 2 violas, 3 cellos, 1 double bass and live electronics", it will be premiered in the Tanks at the Tate Modern on 6th September, as part of the BBC Proms and will be broadcast live on BBC Radio 3.
The programme also includes a collaboration between the LCO and London-based electronic artist Actress; new work by Catherine Lamb; Cassandra Miller's evocative, folk-inspired Guide performed by vocal ensemble Exaudi; and Rodrigo Constanzo's dynamic performances with light and sound.
