Tall Ships are about to release their long-awaited album 'Impressions'

Brighton's Tall Ships are back today and have just released their long-awaited second album 'Impressions'.

Here is some of the best reviews :

'For all its musical richness, though, the most striking thing about Impressions is its emotional depth. It'a at its most naked on 'Sea of Blood', the album's sparse. stunning centrepiece which eulogises a lost friend.' (Drowned In Sound) 9/10

'Tall Ships purvey a holistic dexterity with soundscapes sculpted by androgynous guitars and galloping drums, and other fuck-yeh-rock-music jingoisms; but their compositional pillars and fanatical obligation to patience is more aligned with traditional singer-songwriter fare, the emphasis on narrative and mood over aesthetics and presence' (The 405) 8/10

'As infectious as it is nuanced, 'Impressions' is Tall Ships 'fuck you' to their difficult past. This is a record dedicated to every band who've had to scrape together every last penny just to stay alive, and the result is an album that yearns to be heard'. (DIY) 4/5
